Improving Media Representations of Sexual Assault: We Can Do Better

In the wake of Rehtaeh Parsons’ death, calls for an end to rape culture abound. As new and more accessible media offer new ways harm, bully and perpetuate existing forms of oppression, those of us working to end rape culture are harnessing those media tools in our efforts, as well as challenging problematic mainstream media coverage.

Our own Layla Cameron weighed in on the importance of responsible media coverage of sexual assault in this Centretown news piece.
